Truckee Bike Rack Base Side View
Truckee bike racks come with an adjustable length base that adjusts the rack to vehicle clearance. The hitch bar is easy to remove from the adjustable collar for compact rack storage. Extended length hitch bars are available to provide more clearance for rear-mounted spare tires. Replacing the hitch bar with a 2" x 2" ball mount configures the rack for Tow-N-Carry use on Class III hitches.
Steel sleeve style Adapt-a-Rack™ (patented) attaches over the hitch bar for 2" hitches and removes for 1 1/4" hitches. The tab stop sets depth to automatically align rack and vehicle hitch pin holes.
The included Spool Head threaded hitch pin tightens the rack base in the hitch. A locking Spool Head pin is also available. Bike and rack can be locked to the vehicle with a bike security cable and regular padlock.
